GRANTS

Annual grants are made available through the Eau Claire Historic Preservation Foundation, in an effort to encourage and educate citizens to preserve historic properties located in the Eau Claire area.
These grants are reviewed for the historic preservation benefits the project will bring to the community. Activities that encourage preservation work, economic and adaptive reuse of historic properties, or educate the public on preservation will be considered.

PROCEDURE FOR REQUESTING FUNDS

  1. Obtain the application form from the Historic Preservation Foundation (HPF).
  2. Submit the completed application form with appropriate documents to HPF.
  3. Initial review by the Board of Directors, HPF (first board meeting after submitting request).
  4. Final review by the Board of Directors, HPF (second board meeting after submitting request).
  5. Notification of action taken by the Board of Directors.
  6. Funds to be spent within one year. After completion of the project, a final report must be submitted to the HPF to include the following:
    1. Description of the completed project
    2. Date of completion
    3. Photographs of the completed project
    4. Permission to reference the project on the HPF’s website
    5. Financial Statement
